The Parliament of Cyprus voted to amend the Law on Assessment and Collection of Taxes

On April 8, 2021, the Cyprus Parliament voted to amend certain provisions of the 4/78 Valuation and Collection Law, extending the deadline for filing certain direct tax returns and paying certain tax liabilities.

“Workers and retirees” (workers of the T.D.1 form)
The deadline for electronic filing of the 2020 income tax return for “employees and retirees” (ie. Individuals completing the Employees T.D.1 form) has been extended from the end of July 31, 2021 to the end of September 30, 2021.
The due date for payment of the relevant self-assessment tax has been extended to the same date.

Employers (Form TD7)
The deadline for electronic filing of 2020 gross wages (Form TD7) has been extended from the end of May 31, 2021 to the end of September 30, 2021.

The maturity date of the second provisional tax payment for 2020 has been extended from the end of January 31, 2021 to the end of September 30, 2021.
The extension of the deadlines for filing and payment is part of the measures taken to support businesses and individuals during these difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
