Cyprus extends social security contributions in March due to COVID-19
This decision was published by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Social Insurance of Cyprus in an official newspaper on May 2, 2020. The term for the payment of contributions to the social insurance fund for March 2020 will be extended until May 14, 2020. Such contributions are usually paid by April 30 but have been extended in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. Fines for late payment are not applied if payments for March were made before May 14. Social security payments already made in March will be considered an overpayment and credited to the respective employer.
